Silkstone win the annual Thornton Trophy competition played for at Ripon City with a nett score of 133. Silkstone were runners up with a score of 136.
The Norman Watson cup was awarded to S. Sarker of Sandmoor, with the Fred Brown salver being awarded to G. Stephenson of Silkstone. Please see here for further details.

After many years of exemplary service Yorkshire secretary Mr Geoff Brumfitt and Fowler secretary Mr Tony O’Melia both of the Bradford district have both given notice of their intention to retire at the end of this season.
